Frank Spiteri
Tournament Founder and Director

Frankie Spiteri is Malta’s all-time leading run-scorer. Over his distinguished career, Spiteri represented Malta in nine ICC tournaments and amassed more than 15,000 runs for Marsa Cricket Club, including 40 club centuries.
A qualified accountant, Spiteri is an ECB Level 2 coach (UKCC2), an ECB-qualified umpire, and holds a Level 2 Gary Kirsten Coaching Academy Certificate, reflecting his dedication to elite coaching standards. He is also a member of the prestigious Marylebone Cricket Club (MCC). As an international cricket umpire, he has officiated in various domestic and ICC-sanctioned tournaments. In addition, he has served as a tournament director and match referee for high-profile events, including the ICC sanctioned Valetta Cup, the Malta Crossfire Cup and the 5 previous editions of the Malta Seniors Cricket Festival.
Spiteri is the founder and Managing Director of the Malta Seniors Cricket Festival—Europe’s largest veterans’ cricket tournament – and of Cricket Legends, an initiative promoting lifelong involvement in the sport. His multi-faceted contributions – as a coach, umpire, match official, and media correspondent – have advanced cricket in Malta, Gibraltar, England and Australia.
In recognition of his impact, Spiteri received the 2014 Sport Malta Award for his contribution to Maltese cricket and sports tourism. He is also deeply committed to charitable causes, supporting initiatives such as Ron’s March – The Bob Willis Fund and Beating Hearts Malta through cricket-led awareness and fundraising efforts.
Garrett Kampff
Operations & Event Manager

Garrett Kampff is the Operations and Event Manager of the Malta Seniors Cricket Festival, Europe’s largest veterans’ cricket tournament. In this role, he oversees the festival’s logistics, team coordination, and event planning, ensuring that it runs smoothly and continues to attract international participants. His organizational expertise and passion for cricket are central to the festival’s success, providing players with a platform to reconnect, compete, and enjoy the game in a friendly and competitive environment. In addition to his work with the Malta Seniors Cricket Festival, Garrett is also a founding member of Laytown Wave Warriors, a charity group that uses open water swimming to support and raise awareness for various causes. Through his involvement with the Laytown Wave Warriors, Garrett helps organize events that promote community engagement, charitable fundraising, and the positive impact of sports in society. His commitment to using cricket and swimming as a vehicle for social good has made him an influential figure within both the charity and sporting communities having received numerous recognition awards from local council. Garrett’s extensive background in event management, strategic planning, and community outreach has contributed to the success of the Malta Seniors Cricket Festival and the charity initiatives of the Laytown Wave Warriors. His tireless efforts in both realms have cemented his role as a leader and advocate for sport and its potential to bring about positive change.

Events and Excursions Manager

Mariella Erdogan is the Groups, Events and Excursions Manager at Arrigo Group Travel & Tourism, one of Malta’s most established and respected travel companies. With over 35 years of experience in the Maltese tourism industry, Mariella brings unmatched expertise, creativity, and passion to every event and guest experience she oversees. At Arrigo Group, she leads a dynamic team that handles everything from destination management to local excursions, cruises, and large-scale sporting events. Mariella plays a pivotal role in the Malta Seniors Cricket Festival, working closely with Tournament Director to deliver a seamless, world-class experience for players, supporters, and officials. Her attention to detail, deep knowledge of the island, and unwavering commitment to hospitality help ensure that every participant leaves Malta with cherished memories. Known for her warm, people-first approach, Mariella’s ethos is to ensure every guest feels valued, welcome, and inspired by what Malta has to offer.
